Unblocked Games

The remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is no longer in the works. At least, that’s what Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb had to say on his Game Mess Mornings broadcast on Friday.

“I just want to clear it up, this game is not being worked on right now,” Grubb stated after 57 minutes. “Just a complete stop.” This game is not being developed in any form by any firm.”

The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic reboot, which was first announced in 2021, has been plagued by production issues since its inception. It was created by Aspyr Media before being handed over to Saber Interactive by Embracer Group in August 2022.

Grubb also indicated during his program that the game may have been relocated away from Saber Interactive.

Since the news of the departure from Aspyr Media, no one involved has revealed anything regarding the condition of the game. The only thing that has happened recently is Sony banning references of the game from social media and YouTube. Embracer Group neglected to confirm the game’s progress even during quarterly earnings calls.

“I notice that anything I say to this becomes a headline, so that is my only comment,” Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors said on Thursday’s results call.
